Providing insight and analysis informing tactical and strategic decisions for a metals manufacturing company. Regular commercial reporting and performance analysis, working closely with the senior team across technical, engineering and commercial areas. Providing analysis to support board level meetings and discussion. Creation and maintenance of reporting dashboards. Involvement in new business initiatives, providing background research and strategic input for commercial decision making. Content strategy and writing for blogs, marketing materials and social media. Development of marketing campaigns (email, social, website), sales literature and planning/management of trade shows.

Working through top London agencies TNS and GFK, I researched a number of propositions exploring design and development for new products and services in the tech, finance, leisure, government and dairy industries. Also worked with a local government agency looking at substance misuse.

Delivered high-quality research and was directly responsible for producing professional proposals, pitches, reports and presentations to a variety of blue-chip clients within the IT & Telecoms sector as well as companies looking to develop online/mobile propositions. I spent the first 2 years as a quantitative researcher and the final 4 years as a qualitative specialist mainly working in new product development and user experience (UX). Highlights includeddevelopment of a new online service for the DVLA, qualitative user experience for an online mortgage offering and a large-scale, 10-country qualitative project looking at customer needs and desires within the mobile device category.

Project management of studies for Japanese manufacturers, primarily looking to understand FMCG export markets in Asia Pacific. Also provided intelligence to multinationals looking to launch products in the Japanese market. The role provided an excellent grounding in concept testing, product testing as well as usage and attitude studies.
