Fire Marshal Clerk / AssistantMilford Fire Department Jul 2015 - Aug 2022As a full-time position, I’ve simplified the Fire Marshal’s Office (FMO) plan review submission process by redesigning and establishing plan review guidelines that allow customers submit their plans electronically. These guidelines allow project information access to the reviewer and all FMO staff. Electronic plans also allow staff to pre-plan inspections and compare building projects within the City. I collaborated with the Deputy Fire Marshal in the establishment of a plan review fee schedule to help with City and Department's needs. Our fee schedule has increased the FMO earnings for the City of Milford by 100% when established in 2018. Earnings have tripled after fee schedule revisions that took place in 2019. I also generated an invoicing process to simplify the creation and delivery of more than 200 (yearly) FMO invoices. Along side the EMS Chief, I’ve implemented HIPAA based guidelines for the release of information from our office. These guidelines remind staff of proper reporting and the importance of privacy guidelines. I also process all FOIAs and provide documentation based on the established guidelines.
