About Rose Marie Thomas

I am an academic advisor at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where I have been serving students in the ranked #3 nationally Management Information Systems (MIS) program for over 25 years. My core competencies are diversity and inclusion, coaching and mentoring, and outcome-focused advising. I help students develop and implement academic and career plans that align with their goals and aspirations.I have a passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds, including multicultural, international, and deaf and hard-of-hearing students. I have initiated and facilitated several programs that foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration, such as the ACCESS101 College Readiness, Mentorship Programs, and events designed to support and empower students from diverse backgrounds.
