Healing the land and encouraging growth in people and community are what I am all about. Currently empowering folks in an AmeriCorps Land Conservation Program through coaching in navigating supportive services and career readiness. I've been in the field of land conservation and education since 2019. I've risen through the ranks of leadership at two youth corps gaining technical skills in trail building and chainsawing as well as developing problem-solving, communication, time management, and organizational skills. As an outdoor educator, I spoke to hundreds of hikers a day and fell further in love with education. At these and other outdoor seasonal jobs, I've gained a strong work ethic. I have also pursued community engagement outside of the field of land conservation. I spent two years in an internship building community partnerships and leading student volunteers at each location every week. At this internship, I also developed and ran a mentorship program connecting older folks to young adults. Additionally, I ran game nights and helped lead exercise classes in retirement homes. In 2021, I graduated cum laude from George Fox University with a bachelor of science in exercise science and a minor in biology. The most valuable pieces of my education were hands-on science and research, learning to write well, and weaving in DEI perspectives and trauma-informed practices, especially in my elective classes that I chose.
