Appointed to a managerial position at the boutique insolvency firm Rollings Butt LLP, I advanced to Director in 2023 before the merger with Menzies LLP. In my operational role, I focused on professionalizing services, enabling remote working, and leveraging digital resources and applications to enhance efficiency. I also optimised the use of core systems.

During this period, I spearheaded operational change in this small firm, as the most experienced team member, to bring a more stable environment after a number of changes, including new talent acquisitions. As a result of positive changes, retained a large-scale construction client, despite intensive competition challenges, and handled insolvency.

Accountable for the training and development of junior talent, assisting with long-term career progression and development, and ensuring a firm grasp on insolvency rules, regulations and legislation. Worked on a case portfolio containing Creditor Voluntary Liquidation (CVL), Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) cases and Administrations.

Headed a talent pool of five and extra support resources, administering a portfolio of 50 corporate cases comprising Administrations, MVLs, CVLs and Company Voluntary Agreements (CVAs). Handled day-to-day departmental operations, set case strategies and personally worked on cases such as a trading administration for a car parts manufacturer.

Appointed as Assistant Manager and handled case administration for an insolvency portfolio. Conducted business and solvency reviews for secured lenders and company directors prior to appointment. Organised and prepared Partner Self-Certification for IPA, and prepared internal department for IPA and ACCA inspections. Developed all junior talent.

Several positions progressing to Manager within small to medium boutique and full service professional practices.
