I am an experienced self-shooting producer, with a strong current affairs background. I trained as a broadcast journalist and have a PhD in psychology. Most recently I've been working as a Producer with Economist Films, where I pitch ideas, carry out research and find interesting characters, and shoot and edit-produce. The documentary topics range from the war in Ukraine and the global decline in press freedom to the politicisation of abortion and transgender rights in sport.I am committed to telling human stories in a creative and imaginative way. I have just completed my first feature documentary 1001 Days, which had its world premiere at Sheffield Doc Fest 2023, with a special mention in the Youth Jury Award, and its world premiere at IDFA 2023. I found the idea for this film, gained access and then secured funding, filmed on the shoots and took it through a 12 week edit, alongside the directors.
