Works with Customer Service, Scheduling & the Supply Chain team to develop, implement & manage fully integrated planning process that incorporates capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, customer demand, sales forecasts & historical material usage to develop & execute forecast plans. Work closely with Raw Material Buyer to develop & execute a sourcing strategy to meet the company’s business needs. Forecasts & orders components needed for production through the JIT system. Coordinates with Material Control & Incoming Inspection to ensure consistent component flow through the warehouse to the production floor. Provide daily support to the department manager as needed.

Interact closely with the Production, Compounding, Maintenance, Material Control and Quality departments to drive execution of the schedule to meet & support customer requirements. Works closely with Supply Chain to address material shortages. Creates a production schedule to meet customer demand. Communicates and provides feedback to management and team members regarding inventory issues, shortages, capacity concerns or any reason why the schedule will not be met. Interacts with other departments to achieve production goals and meet customer requirements. Communicate to Lab, and internal departments as needed, raw materials, batches, and finished goods that are high priority for testing/release. Research KDC/Mast inventory discrepancies as noted by Scheduling and work with KDC/Mast Inventory Control and Material Control on resolution.

Oversees on a daily basis that material control associates are following procedures and instructions, accurately completing paperwork and operating equipment safely. Trains material control personnel on procedures, work instructions and housekeeping guidelines. Follows regulatory procedures for handling and labeling both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Oversee daily that all assigned personnel meet daily, weekly and monthly goals. Develop plans and policies to ensure effective resource utilization in warehouse. Plan and oversee all warehouse operations to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations. Communicate performance expectations to associates and provides feedback when appropriate. Plan/observe timelines of day-to-day activities to facilitate meeting production schedule. Oversee chemical, component and finished good inventory and ensures variances are reconciled in a timely fashion. While supervisory in nature, involves daily manual labor with all aspects of the company, including, but not limited to mixing, filling and labeling. Develop and execute weekly production schedule, generate shortage report to facilitate timely purchase of materials needed to meet upcoming weeks of production, maintain inventory utilizing QuickBooks Manufacturing and Distribution software, shipping and receiving (complying with DEA, FDA and company operation procedures) of small package, LTL and TL freight, both domestic and international, writing company procedures, supervise and train staff for the mixing, filling and packaging of all products.
