Provide administrative and grant support services for the Environmental Health Sciences Research Center (EHSRC). Duties include:- Provide pre-award and post-award support for the Core Center grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, including grant application preparation, reporting, and compliance- Oversee Pilot Grant and Career Enhancement Program award applications.- Provide administrative support for EHSRC members and internal and external advisory committees

• Administered CDBG housing rehabilitation grants for non-entitlement cities in INRCOG’s 6-county region• Prepared CDBG Housing Rehabilitation grant applications for non-entitlement cities• Conducted activity delivery for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), CDBG-CV, and HOME housing rehabilitation programs for the City of Cedar Falls• Prepared Housing Needs Assessments for communities in INRCOG region• Administered FEMA post-flood property acquisition programs for local grantees

• Conducted data analysis for advocacy efforts and fee-for-service documents, including Housing Needs Assessments• Evaluated affordable housing impacts of local Comprehensive Plans, zoning codes, and other planning documents• Assisted with data collection and report writing for HUD-mandated Consolidated Plans and fair housing plans for local government clients• Prepared consulting proposals, resulting in over $250,000 in contracts awarded• Authored and updated guidebooks and advocacy publications• Provided copy editing assistance to colleagues

• Identified public employees and researched organizational culture for a comparative study of public sustainability activities in the U.S. and New Zealand• Compiled data on military base closures, highway finance, and school test scores• Obtained and assembled GIS layers for parcels, water bodies, floodplains, roads, and other natural and built features in Johnson County, IA
