About Rose Diggs
I’m a serial and social entrepreneur whose journey started when I opened my first business, a retail beauty supply, at the age of 25. Over the next few years, I was able to scale that into 12 retail stores and 2 beauty salons. From there, I ventured into the world of entertainment where I founded and owned 2 recording studios, an independent record label, a talent and modeling agency, and even a nightclub. After gaining valuable skills from launching and running these businesses, I wanted to become a resource to others who were looking to get their business off the ground. So I began working with a non-profit as a Small Business Consultant. There, I helped small businesses secure financing, establish operations, develop marketing and advertising strategies, and determining brick and mortar locations. Throughout all of this, I began fostering children and over the years I’ve fostered 180 children who inspired me to become an educator and advocate within foster and adoptive communities. This inspiration led to the founding of Down 7 Up 8 Incorporated, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to assisting families by providing education, mentorship, and enrichment programs to facilitate the well-being of the children involved. In my downtime, I love to travel, dance, write, and read. I also thoroughly enjoy a competitive game of football, no matter the team!
