In her role as Owner and Designer of Thirteen Strong, LTD, Rose manages the South Carolina-based design office that specializes in innovative, trend-driven creative services. · Provides independent design and marketing services for companies based in the U.S., Canada, and China · Offers custom designs and marketing materials for products, as well as prints and circular knits commonly used in the home furnishings and mattress industries · Forecasts and presents lifestyle, color and design trends 12-24 months out· Organizes merchandising and curating of product lines. In her role, Rose analyzes and forecasts trends, and manages critical relationships with international mills and vendors to support new product development. In addition, she offers custom designs for prints and circular knits commonly used in the home furnishings and mattress industries, forecasts and presents color and design trends – two to three years in advance – and organizes the merchandising and curating of textile collections.

As Director of Design at Elfa International, Rose oversaw the creative department as an independent contractor spanning the U.S., Asia, and Europe to support all products designed for North America.In this role, she served as creative director for all U.S., Caribbean, and South American home furnishings and mattress ticking collections, and specialized in providing support for circular knit, print, and upholstery design.In addition, Rose spearheaded the Elfa’s account line development and presentations, oversaw all design and marketing-related processes, including frequent travel to Asia numerous times each year, and managed the company’s freelance design staff.

In her role as Textile and New Development Manager for MFI International, Rose collaborates with leadership as an independent contractor to deliver a stream of new product concepts and drive business strategically.At MFI International, Rose directs the company as a partner with brand managers to drive business strategically and deliver a stream of new product concepts to supply the global innovation pipeline, including in the U.S., China, Turkey, Mexico, Canada, and Indonesia.Rose also serves as the company’s sales support via client interaction, trend and design presentations, merchandising, and marketing, and works closely with clients throughout the design and product development process to understand and meet manufacturability and costing goals.Additionally, Rose, helps lead project management and organizational skills, overseeing the complete design process from conception through revisions to product approval; conducts trend research, analysis, and forecasting; translates ideas and trends into concepts that respond to business needs; and manages the product development lifecycle with an emphasis on mattress covers and soft goods.

As Director of Design at CT Nassau, a U.S. textile manufacturers, Rose oversaw design, direction, marketing, and merchandising of the company’s entire U.S. product line. In this role, she managed all U.S. design and sample departments for the manufacturer, supervised all aspects of the design and merchandising process, and forecasted trends and conducted market research.During her time at CT Nassau, Rose also developed strategic sales presentations for key customer accounts, traveled extensively with the sales/ broker team to establish and improve customer relationships, and managed external and internal vendors to arrange processes, negotiate prices, and evaluate materials.

In her role as Director of Business Development for D&W Fine Pack, LLC, a total food packaging solution, Rose managed new and existing regional and national accounts, with a focus on client satisfaction, revenue optimization, and account growth.At D&W Fine Pack, Rose was responsible for all field and corporate training, and maintained knowledge and trends of various clients' industries. She also established and maintained strong relationships within these industries. Additionally, Rose monitored the company’s production schedules while adhering to assigned budgets.

As Senior Marketing & Designer/Stylist for Tietex International, the world’s leading stitchbond nonwoven supplier, Rose provided support for all aspects of the design process, from conception to production, consistently exceeding sales forecasts for five consecutive years. In this role, she provided trend forecasting and sales support, developed strategic sales presentations for national accounts, and led presentations for major customers to introduce new and innovative fabric designs and add value to the product line.
