Continuing to provide strategic communications contracting support for VA's Office of Healthcare Innovation and Learning.

I provided communications and marketing support for the Veterans Health Administration's Office of Healthcare Innovation and Learning. I managed a team of five as part of this one-year contract that ended on September 30.I supported quality control and quality assurance across the contract, developing and leading trainings on the VA style guide and the AP Stylebook. I led the development of high-quality communication materials (such as reports, one-pagers, and social media content) and digital products (such as webpages, Microsoft Teams communities, and videos). I also managed subcontractors brought in to provide surge support to complete client video/editing deliverables as needed.

I supported the communications and marketing efforts for United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) research on connected and automated vehicles and digital infrastructure technologies.In this role, I led event management for FHWA's Saxton Transportation Operations Laboratory, which included successful exhibitions and demonstrations of federal technology and government research vehicles across the country. I took the lead in coordinating across DOT offices ahead of each event, including with the Office of the Secretary, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Office of the General Counsel. I coordinated the transportation and exhibition of heavy government research vehicles and equipment and managed risk by developing a contingency plan. I also led the development of marketing materials, all Section 508 compliant, including post cards, banners, slide decks, web content, social media content, and reports. I edited technical research papers and articles written by Department of Transportation engineers and provided Section 508 compliance support.

Led the social media efforts at Amideast as the communications specialist. This role included working extensively with local staff in Amideast's 12 MENA region offices to meet U.S. government grant requirements for social media marketing efforts as well as promoting their services and donor-funded programs. Supported bilingual website maintenance and SEO efforts, created graphics, wrote reports and newsletters, took photos and filmed and edited videos for human impact stories, and trained both HQ and field staff on social media marketing.I used Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, inDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere in my daily work. I also used content management platform Hootsuite.

Supported the work on this State Department-funded program to train Syrian lawyers on the proper collection and storage of legally admissible evidence of war crimes to submit to UN mechanisms.

Led the communications efforts for this local Lebanese NGO serving Syrian refugees in an informal settlement on the outskirts of Beirut. Created social media content, wrote reports and newsletters, took photos and made short videos, and gave donor tours.

Supported the communications and donor relations efforts at this seminary in Mansourieh, Lebanon.
