Key achievements include:•Key contributor to the development of the AU Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) Framework for AU Policy Framework on Action on Ageing. •Key contributor to the AU Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Older Persons in Africa •Key contributor to age inclusive post-2015 discussions and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)•Co-chair of the Stakeholder Group on Ageing (SGA) – Africa coalition bringing together individuals, civil society organisations and academia to engage SDGs and promote inclusion and rights of older people.•Key contributor to galvanising African stakeholders to support a new UN convention for the rights of older people.•Led the planning and organisation of side events during the 2019 and 2020 Africa Regional Forum for Sustainable Development to promote age inclusion in SDGs and the outcomes utilised to engage the 2019 and 2020 forums.
