Achieving Results, LLC was founded to advance the work of nonprofit organizations throughout the world. The Achieving Results Fund is a non-profit entity managed by Philanthropic Endeavors. Its purpose is to fund education programs and to award community service grants to eligible nonprofit organizations having a wide range of worthwhile missions.Funding is made possible by the generosity of individuals, businesses, corporations, associations and foundations who recognize the important role nonprofit organizations play in our communities. The support of Achieving Results books, events, programs and services demonstrates a commitment to philanthropy and the optimal performance of all nonprofit organizations.

Member of organization’s senior management team. Primary responsibilities included building a new nationwide development department for purposes of providing resource, training, support and service to field offices throughout the country. Signature events such as America’s Walk for Diabetes, Tour de Cure and TEAM Diabetes achieved unprecedented revenue growth as a result of the introduction of standards of performance, the development of criteria for the recruitment of national corporate accounts and the launch of several new national promotions. Campaign revenue streams experienced double-digit increases and surpassed $138 million annually.

Began tenure as Executive Director of the Northeast PA Chapter, serving 17 counties. Promoted two and a half years later to Executive Director of the Central PA Chapter, serving 17 neighboring counties and having five satellite offices. During the search for a replacement in my original chapter, volunteers initiated discussions with the national office to merge the two chapters, bringing the chapter’s service area to 34 counties with six satellite offices. Due to the partnership between staff and volunteers, the chapter received national recognition in all components of mission including, community services, advocacy, research and education. The chapter was one of the first in the country to surpass the million-dollar mark in funds raised through WalkAmerica, the organization’s signature event. This accomplishment resulted in my promotion to the organization’s national office and provided the opportunity to celebrate WalkAmerica surpassing $100 million.

Began not-for-profit career as Executive Director of the Genesee County Unit of the American Cancer Society in Batavia, New York. Promoted a year and a half later to the state office where my responsibilities included the management of the Daffodil Festival and statewide golf championship. Events such as Love Lights a Tree, Grocer’s Fight Cancer Day and Making Strides Against Cancer were launched. The merger of event concepts and strategies for Washington’s 24-Hour Run & Walk and Making Strides Against Cancer laid the foundation for Relay for Life.
