I love helping people move more effectively to get more enjoyment out of life. Suffering from chronic pain and injuries is incredibly debilitating and discovering Pilates in the late 1990's helped change my life.Previously I had worked in high level sales for commercial interiors. I was frequently amongst the highest in sales and were often given the "problem" clients because my patient and empathetic approach. Being involved in the commercial building industry is tough and after 15 years it was time for a change to helping others.Teaching Pilates for 18 years has taught me a lot about problem solving, caring and finding solutions that work. It's a bit like being a body detective and reading how the body moves. Fortunately with my thorough training in Pilates, biomechanics and a range of pathologies, plus learning and working for master Pilates teachers and other allied health practitioners has assisted in honing my knowledge.Setting up my own business in 2010 was a huge step, with massively steep learning curve and I don't regret it, one bit.I was brought up to volunteer and help others, so currently mentor other Pilates teachers, am on my professional association APMA sub-committee, committee of a local Dandenong Ranges community craft group and volunteer for my local CFA auxiliary.
