About Rosemary Cullen

I graduated with an honours Master’s degree in Business and Management from UCD in 2016 and this served to update my knowledge in the area of Human Resource Management with particular focus on leadership, strategy and change. I have registered with The Teaching Council of Ireland. I have 4 years’ experience as a board member on the Cavan Monaghan Education & Training Board and resigned my position on the board when I returned to full time work in the public sector. My work experience spans a number of areas in the private sector including finance, customer service, project management, training and education. I have trained people in a number of IT systems, and am a Microsoft User Specialist in 5 office applications. I have gained experience in the public sector and as personal assistant to Tusla Area Manager in Louth Meath. More recently I have moved to HSE to take up a position in the National Health and Safety Function (NHSF) on the Information and Advisory Team. I led education and training at The Hartford Financial Group’s European Business unit start up, through product launch to a position where sales growth exceeding expectations; the venture became a successful business unit of the parent company. My role continued though major organisational change and project delivery to an eventual outsource situation for the company book of business. I realised my achievements through building win-win relationships and my advocacy of adult education. The role allowed me to use project management skill to progress tasks in the most effective and efficient manner for teams within the organisation to enable them to achieve their goals. Following redundancy due to a change of strategy by the American based company, I studied project management and acquired PRINCE2 qualification and a Diploma in Project Management in UCD. Prior to my 10 years with The Hartford the majority of my career was in branch banking with Permanent tsb serving a number of roles and departments with my final number of years there spent as a training department team member working with Human Resources to deliver Learning and Development for the Organisation. My work with Permanent tsb allowed me to develop good written and verbal communication with a work ethic, skills which have been transferable to all subsequent roles.
