About Rosemary Francis

In 2010 I founded Ellexus, the I/O profiling company. Following my PhD in compute architecture and career in the semiconductor industry, I set out to solve the IT infrastructure problems I had encountered.Today, we work with high performance computing organisations around the world, transforming the performance and efficiency of compute clusters and cloud compute. Following the acquisition of Ellexus by Altair, that world just got much bigger. Whether you have an on-premise infrastructure or hybrid cloud model, our tools can help you take control of both data and costs. Our customers range from life sciences organisations, to the world’s leading semiconductor design houses, oil & gas companies and financial institutions.As an expert on computer architecture, high-performance computing and analytics, I am often asked to speak at events and conferences around the globe. I have a keen interest in promoting diversity in engineering, as well as education initiatives to get more children learning about all spheres of computer science. I describe myself as an obsessive technologist who "looks up"; I have always had to know “why” and “how”. Today, my ability to look ahead and understand global trends has played a big part in ensuring that we are innovating in the right direction.
