Rosemary Jackson is actively looking for biological work. She has more than 14 years of experience as an environmental scientist in the northwestern, southwestern and southeastern United States. Ms. Jackson’s experience includes consultation, construction and compliance monitoring, surveying, ecological research, and population modeling. She has worked with a broad range of wildlife species: tortoises, breeding, non-breeding, and migratory birds, bears, bats, salmon, lynx, and moths. The past 9 years she has focused on Desert Tortoise surveys and construction monitoring activities and has earned the designation of Authorized Biologist by the BLM. Her experience as a field botanist includes conducting rare and sensitive plant surveys and field investigations in the Mojave Desert, alpine ecoregions of the North Cascades, and Ponderosa Pine Woodlands of the Rocky Mountains. Her experience as a population ecologist focused on the system dynamics of grizzly bear demographics in Yellowstone National Park, their changing environmental conditions, and government management practices. She routinely cooperates with various federal, state, and local agencies including National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Army Corps of Engineers, California Department of Fish and Game, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Alaska Department Fish and Game, as well as NGOs like Bat Conservation International. Ms Jackson has extensive experience in field data collection, research design and implementation, grant writing, document preparation, people management and public relations. In addition to experience, she is willing to work remotely or relocate to any location for any duration of time. She is physically fit and routinely performs in climates ranging from freezing temperatures to those in excess of 110 degrees.
