I have been involved in the Interiors trade for 20 odd years, starting back in 1980 at one of Cape Town's most prestigious retail interior decorating outlets - Milton's Interiors. After a break to 'grow' my children, I returned into the industry, working at various well known decorating outlets, eventually, starting Razor Interior Design with 3 x other directors. During this time, we undertook top hotel projects in Ireland. The scope of works, included interior design and decoration - with all design work being done in Cape Town and implemented on the sites in Ireland. Hard and soft finishes were exported from local suppliers to Ireland. With the completion of the those projects and local upmarket projects in the Eastern Cape, the partnerships dissolved, leading to the evolution of Design Monarchy.
