About Eric Rosenbaum
Eric Rosenbaum is a Vice President at Jensen Hughes, a consulting engineering firm providing specialized consulting services including fire protection, life safety and risk analysis. He is a registered Fire Protection Engineer with over 20 years of experience in fire safety. Mr. Rosenbaum is also a Fellow of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Eric is a Registered Professional Engineer in 11 states and the District of Columbia. Eric was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). As a member of the NFPA, he chaired the Life Safety Code Technical Committee on Fire Protection Features for 9 years. He is a representative on the NFPA Technical Committee on Health Care Occupancies and Technical Correlating Committee of the NFPA Life Safety Code. These two committees develop and manage the requirements for health care facilities contained in the Life Safety Code. Eric is also a member of the Technical Committee for Board and Care Facilities (Assisted Living Facilities) and Means of Egress of the NFPA Life Safety Code which develop the requirements for assisted living facilities. Eric is the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living’s (AHCA/NCAL) Fire/Life Safety Consultant and LeadingAge’s (formerly AAHSA) Fire/Life Safety consultant. Mr. Rosenbaum has written articles on health care fire safety as well as having given presentations on the same subjects. Eric has given seminars on the application of NFPA criteria to health care facilities, health care/assisted living fire safety and the NFPA Life Safety Code. In 2011, Mr. Rosenbaum received the Committee Service Award, for distinguished service in the development of NFPA codes and standards, from the National Fire Protection Association, and has been the recipient of the Hat’s Off Award from the Society of Fire Protection Engineers multiple years.
