With over 10 years of experience with nonprofits, five years spent working on the African continent, I am passionate about advancing social impact and sustainability. As the Managing Director at Foundation for African Medicine and Education (FAME), I support the organization in delivering comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to rural communities in Tanzania. I oversee the strategic planning, fundraising, partnerships, and operations at FAME, ensuring that we achieve our vision of improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities. Prior to joining FAME, I worked in Kampala, Uganda as the Senior Business Development Specialist with Educate!, an organization that empowers youth in Africa to become leaders and entrepreneurs. There, I secured new funding opportunities from "Big Bets", expanded our network of supporters and partners, and built our profile as a thought leader. I also have a strong academic background in anthropology, with a Masters from the University of Durham and a Bachelors from Wagner College. I am driven by the belief that everyone deserves a happy, healthy and fulfilled life, regardless of their background or location. I bring a diverse and inclusive perspective to my work, and I am always eager to learn from and collaborate with others who share my values and goals.
