My experience as a Safety Officer takes me to working with construction management companies or company's that require help with their COR. Company's that have COR accreditation and require a Safety Officer to oversee the Health and Safety Program anything COR is what I love to do. Let's not forget about the Environment!! Our work environment and the great outdoors can be affected by work processes. This too requires our attention. What do I do? I develop Health and Safety Programs suited to your company requirements. I train your employees to ensure documentation is in order for the job/work site and reporting to the Project Manager, or Site Superintendent, Company President. I oversee the program to ensure consistency and audit preparedness. I have worked for companies like RSI Construction, West Corp Construction, Detailed Drywall, and now just finished working at AG Creations. Additional companies overseeing their safety program on a yearly basis for their SECOR audit include Danko Tile, Focus Roofing, Prairie GEO Engineering and Midnight Sun Millwrights, Excellent Roofing. Working now with Site Docs to encourage digital program maintenance. I have training with Investigating incidents, training in working with WCB and injured workers. Maintaining a strong working relationship with all the workers and supervisors is key to a good playing field for work. I perform PEER COR Audits for companies with COR Accreditation. Developing Health and Safety programs for companies that want to achieve COR or SECOR Accreditation also requires assistance with the maintenance of their programs for their annual audit review. My achievements include a successful build with the development of a Parkade, and shopping plaza at the London at Heritage Landmark in Calgary in addition to the Save On Foods Store with an average of 110 workers on site every day. Proud to have held a consistent record of zero fatalities and injuries on site, demonstrating superior performance in implementing safety measures and comprehensive safety protocols. Companies are taking their health and safety documentation to the next level in digital forms. There is a company called Site Docs. They offer the best formwork accessible by cellphone and file management. Well worth the investment. I have over 20 years experience in the construction industry.
