Hiya! I'm Rosie. I recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Natural Resources, specializing in Forestry and Wildlife. I am deeply committed to conservation, public engagement, and sustainable land management. As an AmeriCorps Trail Steward with the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference, I educated hundreds of hikers each week on responsible outdoor practices, including Leave No Trace principles and hiking safety. This role allowed me to hone my skills in public outreach, environmental education, and trail management. In addition to my stewardship work, I have led community volunteer initiatives with the Hudson Highland Fjord Trail and Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. I mentored high school students in ecological restoration, focusing on plant identification, invasive species management, and the promotion of native ecosystems. My work has emphasized the importance of community engagement in conservation efforts, fostering a deeper connection between the public and the environment.I excel at developing programs that educate and inspire the public about nature, while also managing teams and projects to achieve conservation and sustainability goals. I am eager to explore opportunities where I can continue to contribute to environmental preservation through leadership, education, and collaborative stewardship.
