Leading communications and engagement for many of the central/platform functions - Airline Operations, Ground Operations, Manpower & Crew Planning, Technology, Customer Cabin & Inflight Services, Data Sciences and Safety, Security and Compliance - that deliver services to the five airlines in the TUI Group. Most recently, supporting the Chief Airline Officer and Chief Operating Officer and their direct reports, as they seek to keep colleagues informed, engaged, motivated, and retained during the Covid pandemic which has had devastating consequences for the aviation industry.

Providing internal communications and engagement support for: The rollout of TUI Tours, the Group Product & Purchasing annual conference and delivering a communications audit

Leading the internal communications team in order to increase engagement and to deliver all change initiatives across a 6,000 plus remote workforce. Have enabled bringing the Airline’s 5 year plan/strategy to life and have mentored managers to help them deliver it. During my time with Thomson, partly through the comprehensive communications that I and my team have delivered we have seen a step change in the annual engagement survey response rates and scores. This has been achieved through a suite of communications channels including manager off-sites, show and tell airport visits, company intranet, extensive use of webcasting, the airline magazine, newsletters and monthly team brief process. I am currently working on the processes to deliver a consistent communications function to our newly integrated Northern Region Airlines.

Supporting the worldwide rollout of Oracle’s Hyperion Financial Planning tool for the financial community throughout Vodafone’s operating companies.• Developing and implementing communications approach and plan.• Designing, building and maintaining Programme’s SharePoint site • Setting up monthly newsletter, CFO bulletin, support bulletin and Programme Director’s blog• Running video-conference events• Developing presentations and demonstrations for senior executives• Supporting entire programme team to ensure that communications are delivered in timely and appropriate manner – ‘right information, to right people, using right channel at right time’

Fixed term contract to develop the communications strategy, plan and ‘off the shelf’ communications materials for the Step Change Croydon Programme

• Managed the development and delivery of the SAP Changes and Communications plans to support the £41m implementation of the Finance, Supply Chain, Capital Delivery and HR modules of SAP. Successful implementation across the 5,000 Thames Water employee base has led to a reduction in duplications, streamlining of processes, greater automation and increased timeliness of management information.• Managed confidential relationship between TW and 9 prospective SAP Implementation Partners which led to award of contract• Developed the Governance process to ensure appropriate/key stakeholder engagement• Produced communications strategy, taking into account complexities and sensitivities• Managed recruitment of appropriate seconded and contracting employees• Organised the move from one office location to another and expansion to 120 strong team

• Managed internal IS Change programme, which included consultation of employees prior to redundancy, TUPEing of employees to npower, enabling promotions and recruitment of new team members• Re-established an internal IT communications function• Ensured that all IT staff and managers were able to continue to effectively carry out their roles for the newly separated Thames Water organisation• Managed the break-up of combined intranet site and move to Portal technology

Contracted to develop and implement an internal communications programme ensuring 1,100 staff based on multiple sites, ensuring that all audiences were kept informed and motivated

Contracted to work together with a team to deliver an internal communications programme for the creation on the DHL IT Service Centre in Prague. Developed communications plans for 500 new recruits in Prague, 350 being made redundant in the UK and 40 staff moving to Prague on an ex-pat package

• Whilst seconded to the Mergers, Acquisition and Divestiture team, managed the complete communications programme for the creation of Nortel Networks Israel• Organised a series of roadshows and accompanying marketing promotion throughout EMEA to 48,000 staff, to ensure maximum awareness of the teleworking and mobility services available under the banner of Work@nywhere 2000 • Worked on highly sensitive program of outsourcing two thirds of the IS organisation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to the legislative and consultative requirements were met• Developed the process and promoted an initiative in which regional CIOs support sales opportunities by engaging with others from external organisations to discuss shared issues.
