After four years of working in the landscape architecture and urban design field, I made a career jump to a totally different field: Culinary Arts. I embarked on an apprenticeship as a commis chef, trained by the kitchen in Royal Marines Lympstone Commando, which allows me to develop my skills and gain invaluable experience. Prior to that, I had already studied cooking science in secondary school for my public exam. In addition, I worked as a sales and marketing assistant for one of the largest cooked duck trading companies in the UK and launched a booth in the Casual Dining Show at London ExCeL in 2019. To gain guest serving experience, I have also helped Lyons Catering, one of the most well-known catering companies in Exeter, to serve guests in weddings and events. I have also worked for a sushi takeaway in some weekends in London to learn how to roll sushi and other Japanese dishes.
As a chef, I take pride in serving the British Ministry of Defence and find it incredibly fulfilling to be able to create delicious meals that nourish and energise people. I love the fast-paced nature of the job and the opportunity to move around constantly, taking on new challenges and pushing myself to excel. I am excited to explore new opportunities and connect with like-minded professionals in the culinary industry.
