I led Operational Excellence for Jugnu which entailed the push for Six Sigma and a Lean supply chain characterized by continuous improvement. I worked on data visibility ensuring we had the right data to tackle the core problems and then craft strategies and solutions. An example would be extensive work on visibility of unit economics along with multiple strategy implementations in order to bring down operational cost.

To utilize the experience gained of setting up operations and driving operational excellence , I eventually transitioned into an expansion role to lead Jugnu's blitz scaling strategy. As part of the expansion team, I spearheaded the strategy and decision making process of future expansions. By utilizing an analytical and modelling approach, I managed to not only craft a strategic and long term plan for expansion but also lead its agile execution. I successfully led Islamabad's launch by setting up operations in under a month and paved a gold standard model for further expansions.

To scale operations in order to meet growing demand, I initiated and executed a successful transition of a live warehouse into a bigger facility. I oversaw end to end warehousing operations including inbound, outbound (picking, dispatching) and inventory and devised continuous iterations to improve existing processes. As part of a automation strategy, I worked with cross functional product and development teams in order to automate the warehousing processes to improve efficiency by over 30% and successfully launched an in house warehousing application with functions similar to a WMS. Constant optimization of resources and processes eventually led to a 25% increase in productivity.

As a founding member, I laid the foundations of warehousing for Jugnu. From devising the structure for operations to creating a comprehensive operations playbook including devising and setting up processes, I successfully managed to launch robust operations in Lahore resulting in 50x GMV growth. By using a data oriented strategy, I tracked and analyzed key metrics to drive performance and ensure excellent standard of operations.
