As US Air Force WRM (War Reserve Material) Programme DBA, I worked as the head of WRMMS (War Reserve Material Management System) database system for GCC region. WRMMS interfaced with USAF Standard Base Supply system (SBSS). SBSS is a critical system within the USAF supply chain. This was a highly secured, highly available database system with restricted access from Air Force bases of WRM program in CENTAF. (United States Central Command Air Forces). I was awarded DynCorp International "Performance Excellence Award" for the work on USAF WRM contract. - Managed a team of database administrators in Seven WRM bases in countries across Middle East. This included a team of American, Asian and local ME nationals. - Report to the IT manager of Dyncorp WRM project - Involve in database solutions architecture, technical decision making, implementation and technical review. - Ensure that databases & data is secured, in-compliance & audited according to US DoD standards. - Involved in providing solutions for WRMMS system on handheld devices. - Involved ensuring data quality and accuracy of replicated data between Seven bases including handheld devices at each base & with USAF-SBSS. - Work with project management & software engineering team as data operations stakeholder. - Help manage other database systems at WRM PMO including HR, Finance, Purchasing etc. - Provide technical expertise in SQL Server, ETL, data quality, high availability, disaster recovery and data security. - Train and mentor a global team of database administrators. - Travel & work on TDA (Temporary Duty Assignments) in WRM locations including Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain & UAE.

Worked as a back-end analyst programmer at EDM Systems, development branch of QA-Software Pty. (Australia) which is now acquired by InEight Inc.(USA) I worked on QA-Software's flagship product - TeamBinder, a web based Document Management and Collaboration Solution for construction industry. TeamBinder was widely used by many private & government large scaled construction & oil industry projects in Australia, New Zealand, UK & SE Asia. Mainly worked with SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Fox Pro. Tasks handled included writing database code (DB tier and Middle Tier) of TeamBinder and managing databases. Experience included working with the Sri Lankan back-end, front-end & QA teams, Australian implementation team and a short stint of few months at Melbourne, Australia.
