Dr. Roshankumar Patil is a young, renowned radiation oncologist rich in clinical oncology experience, who has been working for last decade. He is specialized in the treatment of all solid tumors with a vast knowledge of advanced radiation treatments with advanced techniques. His personal goal is to bring high quality cancer care with the best possible outcomes to all his patients. He is compassionate with excellent communication skills to encourage patients and create a positive environment.He has earned his MBBS degree from GSMC KEM Hospital, Mumbai and MD (radiation oncology) from Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai. During his time at TMH, he was trained in the spectrum of radiation treatments and advanced techniques i.e., VMAT/ IGRT-IMRT/ IMRT/SBRT/SRS/SRT/3DCRT on 10+ different machines, where he has worked in clinical research, high patient volume, and the acumen of eminent oncologists from all over India had groomed him as an all-round oncologist with excellent knowledge and skills. He has completed the professional course for SBRT/SRS/SRT held by global healthcare academy (GHA) and a foundation course in palliative medicine (FCPM) giving him the holistic vision towards treatment specially for palliative patients. His keen interest in research led him to get a professional diploma in clinical research (PDCR) and “Data Science and Statistical Analysis” organized by Commacad.His primary focus is high precision and customized radiation treatment, and good control over disease by keeping the quality of life of the patient as the highest priority. He was instrumental in establishing a state-of-the-art radiation oncology department. His other interests include palliative treatment with a special focus on non-interventional pain management. He gives a holistic approach towards treatment with a major focus on personalized patients' health care.As of date, Dr. Roshankumar is involved in multiple clinical research trials with 20+ publications to his credit in both national and internationally peer-reviewed journals (Publishers: Elsevier/ Springer/Wiley/ Mary An Libert). He has a special interest in brain tumors, gynecological, prostate, head neck, rectal and esophageal cancers. He is also active as a reviewer and editorial board member for various internationally acclaimed journals like ‘Frontiers in oncology’ (Impact factor: 5.738), ‘Cancer Research Statistics and Treatment’ (CRST). His research was also widely accepted and has been presented at various international platforms such as ASTRO 2018 (San Antonio, Texas) and ASTRO 2019 (Chicago, Illinois).
