As a member of the leadership team, I am heavily involved in the planning, execution, and quality control for the solutions we deliver to our clients. I also coach our Auckland-based developers and keep continuous learning at the front of mind to guide them to be the best they can be.Planning - I encourage creativity and innovation within our team to ensure all ideas are considered. I help guide our team to understand the big picture of what is required, what technology is right for the job, and what roadblocks we may need to clear along the way.Execution - I collaborate with the team daily to help solve any technical issues that may block progress towards the ultimate goal. Quality Control - I perform daily code reviews and encourage peer reviews to ensure we are meeting quality standards and best practices.

This role provided further exposure to the Microsoft stack, with more and more clients moving from on-premise to Microsoft Dynamics 365.In one such project, I was the lead developer for a successful upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 for a large electricity company in New Zealand. The upgrade allowed the client to take advantage of more modern technologies and retire old infrastructure no longer supported by Microsoft. The upgrade allowed us to move the client from a complex Excel-based pricing module to one that was simple to use. What previously took the client three weeks to finalise the pricing structure in Excel, now takes three days in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016.

In this role, I spent six months on site for an Auckland-based church, upgrading their systems from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to the most recent version. This gave the client the opportunity to make improvements to their overall processes, as well as implement self-service for their members through a series of integrated portals. I also had the opportunity to spend a year working for two clients in the healthcare industry which provided good exposure to working with development teams on both the client side, and from other vendors.

In this role, I assisted in some major system implementations on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 platforms. I was the lead developer for a project where we moved a large Auckland-based church from a Microsoft Access system to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. On top of the large data migration, the system also included custom integrated portals using ASP.NET MVC.
