Roshanna Trim Email and Phone Number
I believe in young people. Their passion and vigor. Their drive for change and reluctance to be contained by predetermined boxes that make no room for them to thrive and grow in a way that best harnesses their individuality and unique talents and peculiarities. This belief has fueled my involvement in the youth development sector and continues to drive my strong interest in social development and policy. The reality is that many persons based on the socioeconomic inequalities in societies never manage to unlock their true potential. Since the beginning of my involvement in civic organisations and youth leadership I have been committed to crafting change and creating a safe space for young people to advocate, activate and be agents of change. I have served as the Prime Minister of of the Youth Parliament of Barbados, President of the Barbados Youth Development council, Chairperson of the Caribbean Regional Youth Council and Chairperson of he National Youth Policy Coordinating Committee in Barbados, These roles have allowed me to not only share the challenges and offer possible youth oriented solutions but to nurture a love for civic participation. In 2019, cognizant of the gaps in leadership I co-founded Pink Parliament; an empowerment training programme for young women ages 14-20.
