    I was responsible for researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data related to the Toronto Police Inquiry. Through the research project I assessed variations of force used in legal disputes across Toronto. I advanced the sample of data collected by establishing a new method in which over 40 police reports that were initially thought to be destroyed were allocated and used for the analysis. Overall, I read through approximately 140 police cases and streamlined the information into a secure database for Dr. Scot Wortley at the Centre for Criminology & Socio-legal studies to further assess and interpret in his annual report. I further provided a detailed log of the cases with my own observations pertaining to the discrepancies of inclusive use of force practices. This was an incredible experience of working on a human rights project full-time with stringent deadlines and with a wonderful legal counsel team at the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

    I participated in an international internship through the University of Toronto's Centre for International experience's Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship Program in Darjeeling, India. I interned with Loreto, a pioneer in child-centred and child-friendly education. My role consisted of advancing the centre's social development projects in areas of advocacy and education. I would attend student homes with social workers and health care aids to assess their familial climate and provide feedback on improving their livlihood. Further, I was granted lead of education workshops in which I identified 8 students to have severe learning difficulties. In this time, I devised a workshop strategy with cognitive walkthroughs in which students exhibiting symptoms of dyslexia could be aided in a community that lacked the infrastructure and knowledge of dyslexia. By providing the head principle with potential resources and optimizing technical tools, I was able to support students who were previously unable to read with productive learning strategies moving forward. Since 1841, the organization has been providing inclusive education to millions of young girls through formal and non-formal education centres with centres located in urban and rural areas of India. With 8.15 million out-of-school children in India, my role is focused on inclusion and advocacy initiatives oriented towards supporting children and young adults who are out of school, living on the streets, or in rural areas with fewer opportunities.
