I facilitated and delivered a variety of training programs and modules, including MCWH’s flagship PACE Women’s Leadership Program, as well as professionally-orientated modules on culture, race and gender, intersectionality, and working with immigrant and refugee communities in the prevention of violence against women (PVAW).

Collaborated with the academic lead and primary research officer, based at the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies (SoPHIS), to launch the Faculty of Arts’ strategic initiative in Health Humanities. This involved establishing a new cross-Faculty undergraduate major, and organising a public engagement program with high-profile national speakers to showcase the existing interdisciplinary expertise in health humanities across various faculties at Monash University.

I coordinated the first workplace primary prevention of violence against women (PVAW) project specific to immigrant and refugee women employed in aged care in Australia, employing a strengths-based and intersectional approach to promoting racial, gender and class equality.

I coordinated a community health promotion project to support unpaid family carers from immigrant and refugee backgrounds. I conducted qualitative research with immigrant and refugee carers, developed and delivered training modules on carer health and wellbeing to bicultural health educators, developed multilingual resources in close consultation with educators, and have advocated on structural issues which marginalise immigrant and refugee women carers in particular.

I conducted ethnographic research with First Nations custodians to visit, identify, document and protect sacred sites under the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act. I am always trying to improve my understanding of the issues facing custodians and traditional owners across urban and remote areas of the NT, due to their specific and ongoing histories of colonialism and differing experiences with land rights and sacred sites legislation. I have research experience in the following regions: Darwin Hinterland, Daly River, West Arnhem Land/Kakadu, North-east and South-east Arnhem Land, Roper River and Gulf.

I coordinated the “YOU + ME = Lane Cove” Living in Harmony program, building strong relationships with key Council and community stakeholders to attract over 50 local participants to Council’s Shared Values Night and over 500 local participants to the popular ‘Namescapes of Lane Cove’ arts project, as well as facilitating numerous other community engagement projects celebrating and documenting cultural diversity in Lane Cove.
