Teach and advise students in various academic endeavors, i.e. service learning, senior portfolios, integrative learning, wilderness ethics, risk management, land management, outdoor leadership, avalanche science, group process, wilderness orientation, leadership practicum, etc. Maintain and grow the budget for the program from $1,000 to $150,000 with the use of course fees, events, and fundraising. Work closely and establish partnerships with the local land management agencies and establish permits for all school wide field expeditions. Advise and implement risk management protocols for all off campus activities. Create assessment strategies for growing the program to be the third largest degree. Hire, mentor, and evaluate adjunct faculty within the program. Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders for student internships and professional development. Lead clients (often couples) through a series of six coaching sessions that focus on ways of being, i.e. intro, vision casting, core values, core stands, deep dives, goals and actions. Serve as a member of a coaching team. Facilitate weekend workshops.

Design, develop and implement the curriculum for an A.A. degree in Wilderness Education, while growing the program from 35 students to 1000 students. Manage and create professional development opportunities for over twenty adjuncts. Maintain and expand the budget for the program. Raise money through outdoor adventure events/movies/speaker series. Teach various adventure education classes. Participate in many local advising boards focusing on outdoor recreation and sustainability.

Teach and lead women of all ages in the winter backcountry environment of the Sierra Nevada.

Teach and lead college students in the Sierra Nevada instructing basic whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, backcountry skiing, avalanche curriculum, winter ecology, and women’s topics in wilderness education.

Instruct ten 16-18 year old students on 21-81 day multi-environment courses through mountains, canyons, rivers, and oceans.
