Rosie Shaw is an arts and culture executive currently living on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Most recently she spent a decade at Confederation Centre of the Arts, wearing many hats including Director of various fundraising portfolios for eight years, as well as Marketing, and Playwriting. She is co-creator and producer of The PEI Pay-What-You-Can Theatre Festival.She is an event producer, writer, copyeditor, dramaturge, PR consultant, host/emcee and She is a Founding Artist of Theatre 20 and served as the inaugural General Manager of Toronto's artist-led musical theatre company from its inception in 2009 until 2015. She is co-creator and producer of The PEI Pay-What-You-Can Theatre Festival.She has held such positions as Producer (Theatre 20's COMPANY, Common Descent's A MISFORTUNE), Publicist at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre (Portfolio: Visual Arts, Architecture, Children & Family Programming, Sailing, Skating Rink, Retail Store, Performing Arts), Publications Editor & Publicist at the Canadian Stage Company, Manager of Public Relations & Corporate Communications at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and Director of Public Relations at PEI’s Montgomery Theatre.She has also worked extensively with indie theatre companies, including Screaming Beaver Productions, Theatre Revolve, The Sweat Company and Fence Post Productions.She is a freelance theatre producer, copywriter/editor and PR/communications consultant, independent jewelry designer and seasoned guest speaker, having appeared at York University, the Toronto Fringe Festival, Carleton University, Seneca College and Humber College, PrePro Collective, as well as other arts industry special events and panels.Graduate of Carleton University’s Journalism program (Highest Honours - Arts Criticism & Reporting/Public Relations).
