I am an enthusiast, friendly and creative tutor looking for opportunities to teach english as a second language. I am passionate about delivering fun, engaging lessons to students to hep them achieve their goals and become confident. VALUESThrough-out my career, I have always sought to help people, either by guiding them gently to gain confidence or by providing the knowledge and resources to reach further. my experience working as an art facilitator for primary school children has driven me to want to teach young children english as a second language. I find seeing children grow in confidence and using their new skills incredibly rewarding and love hearing positive feedback from parents. KEY SKILLSI was known at my last teaching role fro being the fountain of knowledge on how to use art materials as well as historical and contemporary artists. With any job role, I have always taken extra care to research and bring that extra something special to ensure the students and customers are satisfied.ACHIEVEMENTSDuring my time as a self employed artist and art tutor I have been most proud of my adaptability and drive to succeed. I have taught students and run my own company through a global health pandemic whilst being quick to adapt to the needs of students and customers; for example... I would deliver one to one tutoring sessions via zoom when I was unable to teach a classroom of students.ACCOMPLISHMENTSBeyond my professional life, I have created my own local mothers group whilst on maternity leave with 100 members and various events. This has taught me the value and importance of community and creating strong connections, I have been lucky to meet parents from varied backgrounds and careers and make some life long friends. From my experiences in teaching adults and children, I have learnt that people are able to achieve anything they put their mind to with the guidance and reassurance of a friendly, knowledgable and engaging teacher.
