I was successful in attaining this competitive voluntary internship as a Medical Artist for the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID) at The University of Dundee. My role involved working closely with anatomy teaching professionals in order to create learning resources to support their teaching.

In this role I supported a diverse and wide-ranging portfolio of projects and programmes across the service area of the council. This involved using a range of skills including administrative support, call handling, report preparation, database management, and coordination of projects, to ensure smooth and effective delivery of projects.

This role involved providing clerical support for clinical projects and assuming a coordinating role for the project teams concerning administrative matters. This could include distributing global communications for the project management team, recording the minutes for internal meetings and client meetings, ensuring new team members were properly trained and a wide variety of other administrative tasks. I was assigned to five studies, each study brought different challenges and opportunities to gain knowledge and develop skills. As part of my internship with Covance I took part in organising multiple fundraising events for Launchpad, a charity that supports the homeless in Reading. These events included bake sales, Socktober, The Big Sleep Out and running the Thames Valley Half Marathon. In total we raised £2084.

My primary role was to assist and support the school staff. I regularly had to adapt to new roles depending on the schools needs. This included helping supervise field trips, aiding at the preschool, supervising after school activities, making stage sets and costumes and any other requirements the staff needed. I also coached the U12 girls hockey team and travelled with them to games every week.
