I am currently pursuing an MS in book publishing at Portland State University, and have recently found a love of translation and international rights. In this program I have learned about editing, book marketing, social media campaigning, contemporary YA literature, book design, website design, and international rights and copyright. As a part of the program, I work at Ooligan Press in a variety of capacities, primarily as its rights manager. In all my classes, but especially in my work at Ooligan Press, I try to be a problem-solver--someone who figures out the obstacle, reassesses, and finds a way around it.I have always enjoyed the editing process and working with authors to shape the best iteration of their piece possible. After graduation, I would like to work in an agency.In my spare time I enjoy yoga, petting dogs, and going to plays.
