Consultant specialising in sustainable funding and strategy for the voluntary sector, particularly experienced in facilitating boards and senior managers to identify suitable and effective strategies and reach consensus. Before moving to freelancing, I was NCVO's lead consultant in sustainable funding and strategy, which mean I led the development and coordination of support to charities across this area. The offer was distinct in that it looked at financial strategies, not 'just' fundraising and focused on how to build an effective, integrated organisational approach. In particular, work often involved facilitating strategy development with senior management teams and trustees. I have recently been working with a team to develop the UK's first co-operative primary free school (my role particularly focused on marketing, stakeholder engagement and governance), and have been a governor for another local primary school. I am the branch co-ordinator for Harrow NCT and until earlier this year I was a trustee for Grandparents Plus, helping them to navigate a complex merger and change in strategic direction.
