Conservationist | Photographer | Educator | Science CommunicatorStudying a Bachelor of Environmental Practice, majoring in Biodiversity Assessment & Management at James Cook University I am working towards a career in the conservation & protection of threatened ecosystems & endangered species. I currently work across a variety of fields, in invertebrate husbandry, as a tour guide, photographer, educator, presenter and caring for and rehabilitating native arboreal wildlife at a shelter in Far North Queensland. I specialise in rearing endangered Spectacled Flying-fox orphans but am also trained in microbat, possum and glider rescue, husbandry and rehabilitation.Combining a Fine Arts background with more recent science education, I bring a creative approach to projects and enjoy communicating science and conservation initiatives in a visually supported format.My personal photography, presentations and social media projects aim to educate and spread awareness of a range of endemic wildlife, ecosystem & biodiversity threats as well as the natural beauty encountered every day living in the Wet Tropics region.
