CurrentManage energy performance, sustainability, recycling, and green building programs for National Capital Region. - 2023 GSA National Award for Energy Performance - January 2020: Implemented new procedures for monthly coordination and accountability of energy performance results through operations and maintenance teams. - Sept 2019: Authored and launched a cross-agency Energy Directive outlining the roles and responsibilities of multiple business lines, including measurable and transparent actions and commitments.- July 2019: Institutionalized energy/sustainability in all stages of construction; from formulation through execution stages. Conduct SOW reviews and developed templates that include specific energy/sustainability criteria including energy payback analysis and energy rebate applications. - May 2014: Serve on the Advisory Board for the Smarter DC Challenge: a comprehensive green building initiative targeted to tenants and building owners. - Develop and oversee the implementation of green building program objectives and projects including providing advice and expert technical support to regional staff.- Initiate and coordinate cross-agency initiatives and chair the regional Sustainability Council. - Ensure that efficiency, effectiveness (including cost effectiveness) and green building objectives are achieved across the region by developing and implementing regional standards, protocols and practices. - Focus areas include: green leasing, green procurement, LEED construction/renovation, LEED for existing buildings, sustainability standards for repairs and alterations, staff engagement/education, incorporating sustainability metrics into long range portfolio planning, climate resiliency, stormwater management, and developing sustainability goals and tracking progress for all business lines and program areas. - Develop agency-wide long range plans and recommendations to ensure continued success in meeting regional goals and objectives.
