I am a freelance cameraman and director who, after two decades working in the industry has experience in all aspects of TV production and content creation. I specialise in shooting and directing science, wildlife, medical and observational documentaries and have travelled and filmed extensively throughout the world. With a BSc in Zoology and a Masters in Environmental Science and Animal Behaviour, wildlife remains one of my greatest passions. I have worked on numerous award winning natural history documentaries including ‘Carpathian Predators‘, ‘Wild Journeys’, ‘The eagles return’ and ‘Ireland’s wild river/Secret life of the Shannon‘, (nominated for 3 Emmys. ‘Ireland’s wild river‘ also won 3 golden Pandas for best documentary and best cinematography at Wildscreen, and the overall Grand Teton Best of Festival Award at Jackson Hole).I have recently filmed and directed two hour-long documentaries on the wildlife of the Carpathian mountains for the Smithsonian Channel, two series of ‘Shutterbugs’ (wildlife adventures for younger viewers) and “Animals Inside Out” a four part series examining the relationship between the anatomy of animals and their behaviour.I am a qualified scuba diver and speaks fluent French and Spanish.
