RED Inc. is a subcontractor for the Dept. of Energy at the Idaho National Laboratory. Most of my time here was as a technical writer. I worked on procedures, reports, instructions, and some grant proposals and journal article editing/proofing. Many of the documents were managed by document control methods; this includes change control, revision control, multi-discipline/group input, regulatory specialist input before the document would be finalized and released. For one particular assignment, I started learning SharePoint and improved upon my HTML and started learning CCS3.

After moving back to Idaho, job hunting was difficult for a time. I eventually got a job with 4U4 LLC and worked there after I started with RED Inc until conflicts with my schedule arose. I mainly ran either the front cashier or drive-thru. Customer service and prep work/cleaning were a main part of my duties.

Yuma, Az

I worked at the Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG), for 8 years—ending as an Engineering Technician III. I followed the military test items (and their technical manuals, if any) as they went through the testing procedures, documenting all aspects of testing in great detail into an Engineering Component Logbook (handwritten notes) and typed the reports on all test incidents and results, and supported the Test Engineer. The reports where written so those who have never seen the test item could understand the who, what, where and when of the incident. I am knowledgeable with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and International Test Operation Procedures (ITOPs) as they relate to military testing. I maintained a security clearance for the entire 8 years.Additionally for various projects, I created 3d models and animations. These assets were used to show how test sites were setup and recreate incidents down-range. Occasionally I would also create 3d models and drafting schematics to give to the carpenter shop from drawings or sketches the test officer would give me for fabrication of assets.
