MCM 1 Crew 8During my time with M1C8 I was the primary point of contact for the Power and Distribution subsystems on board the Sandown class mine counter measure vessel.Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on Electrical and Domestic systems, which included water boilers and the ships RO plant.I was also the SME for Fuel embarkation, coordinating a team of 4.Responsible for the Lock Off Tag Out (LOTO) and Permit To Work systems, ensuring safety remained of paramount importance while maintenance was being conducted.Passed as Marine Engineering Officer of the Watch 2 and held propulsion machinery watches, ensuring Power To Command was retained even at the most difficult times.
