I received a Saltire Scholarship from Entrepreneurial Scotland to spend 10 weeks as an intern with Network Rail. I worked within a safety-critical team managing operational staff, while improving my communication and collaboration skills.

As part of Google's Season of Docs, I was employed to develop documentation for the GAMBIT particle physics software within the University's Experimental Particle Physics Group. My role involved developing a new website for the project then designing tools for automatic documentation generation and deployment. I also presented my work at the GAMBIT academic conference.

I was awarded a Vacation Scholarship by The Carnegie Trust to undertake an 8-week summer project in the University’s Imaging Concepts Group. During this time I researched and implemented a Kalman Filter algorithm using Python to track the motion of zebrafish hearts, for the purpose of beating-heart imaging. I then analysed large sets of optical data using Python to assess the performance of the filter.
