Ross is the leader of Thornton Tomasetti's Protective Design and Security team on the West Coast. Based in Los Angeles, he has more than 18 years of experience working on high security projects. Originally trained as a structural engineer, over his career Ross has developed expertise in risk assessments, security criteria development, blast protection, hostile vehicle mitigation, crowd modelling, physical security, and security technology.Thornton Tomasetti's growing protective design and security team provides security consulting services for owners, developers and operators of a wide variety of facilities and infrastructure. Our specialty is incorporating effective security features into new and existing buildings in a manner that is compatible with the architectural design and project budget.Ross' portfolio of projects spans across many market sectors including sports and entertainment venues, commercial office buildings, residences and hospitality, aviation, federal, state and local government, higher education, parks, and transportation infrastructure.
