Outside of my full-time employment, I also take on freelance design and illustration work, which allows me to pursue projects that offer a greater degree of creative freedom, and to take on a full spectrum of interconnected disciplines such as art direction, illustration, layout, typography, pre-press, packaging design.My true passion is designing album artwork and gig promotion posters, and I'm fortunate to have been commissioned to do so for many of my favourite internationally-renowned bands, and I'm always enthusiastic to take on more of these projects.My work in this area has been included in commercial publications ('Monochromes', Heavy Music Artwork, 2018), and has even been cited in an academic thesis ('Mysticism, Ritual and Religion in Drone Metal' by Owen Coggins, Bloomsbury Academic, 2018).
An increase in the quantity and frequency of large-scale projects for high-value clients required a role which liaised between all departments, and worked hands-on across multiple disciplines to efficiently coordinate these projects.
