After Graduating University, I struggled to find a trainee position and spent 2 years in a call centre. Unsatisfied with the challenges and future prospects, I made the decision to invest in myself, spending a month's wages to become ACCA registered. I studied at lunch and after work while applying for accounting roles. After 6 months, I left my permanent job for a 3 month temporary position. This initial experience enhanced my CV and I continued to apply for low level positions that could help me further my career. After completing the temporary assignment, I moved to Diamond Power in 2011 until 2018. During my time, I continued to study, increase my knowledge, experience and personal skills such as leadership and communication. I have spent time working in Thailand for 5 months to fill a vacant position over a year end. Since leaving Diamond Power, I have worked with Robertson Group (construction), managing the personal finance and businesses of the group chairman. I am currently employed at Bakkavor (food manufacturer) on a permanent contract after initially completing a maternity cover contract of 12 months with 2 extensions.Personally, I like to spend time with family while also playing rugby and football to maintain a healthy work/life balance. I'm married with 1 son and a dog.
