Benefits Data Trust (BDT) is a national nonprofit organization that helps people live healthier, more independent lives by creating smarter ways to access essential benefits and services. BDT employs 160 people in Philadelphia and provides benefit enrollment assistance to individuals and families in CO, MD, NY, NC, PA, and SC. Each year, BDT helps tens of thousands of people receive critical supports using data, targeted outreach, policy change, and new technologies. Since its inception, BDT submitted over 800,000 applications on behalf of over 600,000 households, securing over $7 billion in benefits and services.Universal Outreach Specialist: Assisting clients to submit applications for and get access to vital public benefits and community resources in CO NC SC MI NYC PA & MD. • Demonstrate outstanding communication skills (listening, needs assessment, empathy) • Maintain a strong knowledge of benefit eligibility and application processing rules across all states• Aid onboarding for new hires in all campaigns including y-connecting and participating in new trainings to provide participant feedback • Assist training coordinators by functioning as cross-campaign experts for BOS while insuring Guru call handling and documenting processing cards are up to date • Use cross-campaign experience to help identify organizational quality trends in PRISM usage and any gaps in document communication with clients • Helped formed relationship with Dallas' Child Action Poverty Lab, resulting in a 25 million dollar partnership contract. • Engagement Committee member: A network of collaborating staff that curates the monthly Call Center Newsletter with a particular focus on organizational wide updates, BDT University offerings, and promotions.• UOS on deck : Utilized people and process management skills mentoring peers in campaign channel by troubleshooting calls and providing fast and efficient solutions.
