This has seen our stores average UPT stay above our desired average for the past two months.- Since starting with the company at the flag ship European store on Carnaby Street, I have introduced a new shop floor lay out which is designed to push sales in areas which have been struggling. Since doing this we have seen a substantial growth in the sale of apparel when compared to last year's sales figures. This shop floor plan was then put into place throughout other Vans stores in the UK.- Along with Senior Management I help compile a weekly trade report that is sent to my District Manager. This consists of current weeks sales in all areas of the business compared to last year's figures. If there have been any problems over the week, what strategy I/Management team are taking to resolve them. Do our competitors have any offers or new stock that could affect our sales?- I have been selected by Senior Management to work in other stores throughout the country. I have worked in both the Birmingham and the Portsmouth store and I was also part of the Bristol shop fit in which I stayed three days after opening as Manager Support. I achieved this by keeping track of weekly sales and doing regular line checks to make sure our stock level matched what was on the system.- I had a big say in what new products we introduced to the bar. A big focus of mine was keeping track of ‘trending' products and new drinks on the market. Checking competitor activity - when comparing what my competitors in the area had to offer I noticed that no other bar was selling ‘Desperados' at the time. When I introduced this beer into our stock it became our number one selling bottled beer within a matter of weeks. - I was able to introduce such offers as ‘2 4 £10 cocktails' from Monday to Thursdays. This saw a huge jump in the amount of cocktails the bar made and also a very healthy growth in our mid-week sales.Courses I have done include - Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Cellar Care, Bar Skills, Relief Management and First Aid.
