The duties include assisting and working with each central distributor in the region and ensuring a level of control as to how the Kohler products are marketed and overseeing & assisting with the development of the service dealer networks for both diesel and petrol engines. I also assist companies(OEDs) importing products powered by Kohler and Lombardini engines to ensure they and their customers receive complete after sales technical and spare parts support and direct OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) accounts - selling them Kohler and Lombardini engines for use on their equipment. Achievements: Over the past seven years Kohler/Lombardini engine sales has increased due to my efforts to assist and direct our central distributors to develop properly organised dealer networks and provide the required training to them. This has resulted in improving the after sales support for users of Kohler/Lombardini powered products. All major customers were my personal responsibility. This position included P&L responsibility, managing a team of sales representatives and the office sales support staff. My export sales responsibilities required that I travel overseas to visit existing Honda distributors and seek out new potential distributors. Throughout my years of service the position developed and other responsibilities were added. Total turn-over responsibility exceeded 35 million.Significant achievements:Each year I was successful in achieving the set sales target for my department and increasing our market share within the horizontal shaft engine market in Australia from 45 percent to over 70 percent. Many of the initiatives I introduced for improving customer relationships and terms & conditions related to sales were adopted by Honda internationally.I was instrumental in the successful market release of Honda's four stroke brush cutter & line trimmer range, achieving over 15 percent market share in the first year.
