M-Phase is part of the broader NERC Uncertainty in Climate Sensitivity due to Clouds programme.

Working with Prof Philip Stier.Post-doctoral Research Assistant on ERC project: constRaining the EffeCts of Aerosols on Precipitation (RECAP). I am developing an aerosol model capable of representing the emission and evolution of aerosol species and their interaction with radiation and cloud microphysics at cloud-resolving scale resolution. I used the Intermediate General Circulation Model (IGCM4) to investigate the impact of aerosol-radiation interactions over China and India on the Asian summer monsoon dynamics and precipitation. Working with Prof Nicolas Bellouin and Prof Ellie Highwood.Post-doctoral Research Assistant on NERC project: Clouds Aerosol-Radiation-Interactions and Forcing (CLARIFY). I used the Met Office Large Eddy Model to investigate the impact of elevated layers of biomass burning aerosol on marine stratocumulus clouds and used satellite observations to identify signs of aerosol-radiation interactions over the Southeast Atlantic Ocean. Working with Prof Michael Krom, Prof Ken Carslaw, and Dr Anthony StockdalePost-doctoral Research Fellow on Atmospheric dust: a source of bioavailable phosphorus to the oceans. Working with Prof Ben Murray, Prof Steven Dobbie, and Prof Thomas KoopPost-doctoral Research Fellow on: Sensitivity of liquid clouds to homogenous freezing parameterisations.
